NOTES TO CONSIDER BEFORE ORDERING:

HOW TO APPLY BCTF PAINTS: The trick is to pour or lay the paint on the plastic with the well soaked brush instead of brushing it directly on the plastic. If you brush it, it will not adhere well to the plastic. You can brush it only when overlaying on pre-painted areas, as when painting stripes for example.

Our paints are water soluble. Several reasons make this a better choice than the cellulose or synthetic enamels. These are more ecologic. Even though enamel paints are easier to apply and have excellent finish quality they're much more pollutant than water based plastic paints. The cellulose or synthetic thinners used with enamels are extremely pollutant. 

The water based paints are almost odorless. The enamels have a strong smell that stays in the air for a very long time. When using water based paints the brushes can be easily cleaned with water and soap, or just water. They're not biodegradable but pollute almost nothing compared with the solvents contained on enamels.

Our paints should be used over a special primary paint when painting over plastic or other non-porous surfaces. We stock it but we don't notice any special difference using it or not but we'll leave it to your own decision. If you decide to use it you’ll have to wait 12 hours for it to dry before applying the final paints.

Each recipient contains 1ml of paint to which you can add water to dilute as you prefer. The total capacity of the recipient is 1,5ml. The paint is ready for a thick single coat. If you wish to dilute it you will have to apply more than one coat to achieve satisfying results. We advise a dilution not bigger than 10%. Dries to touch after around 30 minutes and dries completely after 12 hours. These paints have a relatively low resistance. A nail can scratch it off but it's strong enough to resist normal handling. Don't let the paint dry on the brushes. This paint is no longer water soluble after dry! If you spill this paint over your clothes you must wash them immediately with running water.

Open the recipients carefully! Use both hands, one holding the recipient and with the other, with the help of index finger pressing the lids back, slowly lift the lid with the thumb till you hear a click. Only then open completely exposing the paint. Always open the recipient far away from the eyes! To close you should press energetically untill you hear a click.

BCTF WATER SOLUBLE PLASTIC PAINTS - MATT

We provide our paints in 1ml plastic containers. This quantity is more than sufficient to paint one complete kit of a single colour on 12 figures (shirts, shorts and socks). Therefore, the colours to paint skin, hair, boots, etc., are enough to paint several teams.

Being our paints matt you may want to give a glossy finish to your job. For that we stock the glossy water based polyurethane varnish that may also be used to varnish the bottom of the bases for extra sliding capability.

Colours available: All colours possible. You name the team you want to paint and we will send you the nearest colour we can achieve. We also stock several skin and hair colours. Skins: Light, medium, dark, cream(ish), salmon(ish) (similar to light orange we call it special skin), yellowish, etc. Hairs: Blonde, light gray, dark gray, brown, black, red (orange), etc. You name it, we provide it.
